If you are using a
“hook and nail” fastener instead of a nail, screw, or molly
bolt, locate the bottom of the hook at the same spot as the
mark made by
.
Your nail should go in at a distance above this mark,
depending on the size and design of the fastener. If
your picture does not use a hanger wire, you may use
with various other types of hanger devices such as:
-
The
saw-tooth type hanger
-
The
keyhole slot type
-
The
inverted V-shaped hanger
With these picture hanger devices, just place the screw
end on
under the saw tooth, inside the keyhole slot, or the "V"
hanger for the first step as shown above and
follow the two examples as shown in the other pictures.
Use
on Masonry Surfaces!
If you need to
hang pictures on masonry wall surfaces, rather than
drywall, plaster, or wood, try using the following ideas:
-
Hang the picture over the screw head
as shown in the top picture above.
-
Turn the picture around facing you.
Use a strip of blue masking tape (electrical tape
will also work) to mark where the top of the picture
frame goes on
.
-
Position
the picture on the wall.
-
Remove the picture from
while keeping
positioned on the wall. Mark the wall with a
marker or pencil where the screw tip of
is positioned.
-
This is
where to drill in the masonry for your screw anchor.
-
Install your fastener and
hang
your picture!
-
works with
most hooks, wires, key-hole slots, or saw-tooth hangers on the back of
your picture frame.
-
works
perfectly with your
laser level
to hang your pictures straight.
